While I was in Graz with the Ateneo Glee Club, our host treated us to a night at the Opern (Opera House). Unfortunately it wasn’t an opera that was on show but a modern ballet production: Rock The Ballet – which was spectacular in its own right.

Opera was and continues to be a big thing in Europe – particularly in Austria. Reserved for those who could afford it – the actual structure is elegant and design to exude opulence. I’m sure the Graz Opern has been renovated over the years but here is how it looks today.
